When Gabby first came to live with us all she wanted to eat was chicken nuggets and french fries. Every plate I put in front of her was like poision. She was always saying I'm not eating that. Fruits and veggies where like unseen objects to her. She would lick them but that was about it. Each meal that had fruits or veggies on the plate she would scoot those to the side and eat the rest never touching the healthy stuff. She was a carb aholic she would always gobble down the carbs but touch nothing else on her plate. So we stared to encourage her allot, if she didn't try them how could she dislike them so much. So every meal I'd ask her to eat her veggies when she would take even one bite we all would scream and cheer and praise her as loud as we could! One night I made a big yummy salad with tons of veggies, gabby looked at me with utter disappointment. I arrange all the veggies in a circle and put ranch in the middle. We went around the plate and I explained what each one was called and encouraged her to try each one and with each bit we would all clap and cheer, she ate it all. Its been 8 months and I noticed she eats all her veggies without me asking at all. The other night I turned around and noticed she ate all her broccoli which was her worst enemy. We went out to chinese the other day and we added lots of varieties of foods to her plate I watched as she scooted all her meat to the side ate her veggies first them the carbs then nibbled the meat, I was so proud of her. She likes them she just had to try. Since I'm a vegetarian I rarely ever bring meat into the house so when the kids do have meat Gabby looks at it like its poison although I think she'll always love chicken nuggets. She eats all fruits now except she hates honey due. She eats all veggies but hates tomatoes. I don't expect her to eat all the veggies in the world but its healthy to at least eat some and that was my main goal and we have succeeded!!!!
P.s Gabby also hated white milk, it was always I want chocolate milk. Chocolate milk is a treat in our house that rarely ever visits. Gabby would never drink her milk, now she loves it and asked for it often. We also found out that she loves soy milk!

This night she completely surprised me, I walked in to see her broccoli all gone and her carbs still on the plate. I was so darn proud of that girl!!!!

I love you sweet Gabby, sue sue sue!
